This page is all about the pets that our family owns.

My Guinea Pigs - these are my own :)

In March of 2007, I bought some guinea pigs with some money that I had recieved the previous birthday and Christmas (my birthday is in December). I bought them at a pet store; one girl and one boy. I was planning on breeding them and selling the babies. I named the girl, Rosemary, and the boy I named Almond.

I ended up breeding them about only a week after I bought them, so two months later (May), Rosemary had 5 babies, two of which died. Of the remaining babies, there were two boys and one girl. I sold one of the boys, when he was old enough, by putting an ad in the newpaper. At that point, I was trying to sell both boys, but only one ended up being sold (only one person even called about them).

I kept the baby girl; I named her Pansy. I gave her to one of my younger sisters for Christmas and Pansy died on May 12th, 2009. I still have the other "baby" boy (he is no longer a baby). I now have Rosemary, Almond, and Charlie. Here are some photos of all the guinea pigs:

Budgies and Zebra Finches

Buttercup (female)- my brother Bryant's bird. Died last year (2008).

Azure (male) - we still have him. He has a good personality, and likes to twitter into a bell as though talking to it. And sometimes, it's as though he's asking it "Are you okay?" after he gets startled.

We have two dogs. One is Shelby. She is a border collie/german shepherd mix (she is fixed). Teddy Bear is a male Australian Shepherd (he is also fixed).

Willie is our male Norwegian Forest cat (he came fixed). Abby is our mix. She has some siamese in her. She stays outside all of the time because she makes to much of a mess indoors. We fixed her after she had 3 litters of kittens.

We have 10 chickens. Buff Orpington, Black Australorp, Americana, Barred Rock

We also have chicks. Their breeds are: black australorp, buff orpington, americana, speckled sussex, partridge rock, delaware
